Ils s'appelaient de Villiers, Hugo, Malherbe, Rousseau, du Pré ou Malan, ils étaient tous des huguenots, des calvinistes, et avaient quitté la France après la révocation de l'édit de Nantes, en 1685, pour échapper aux persécutions.
