Palace Hotel, Palace Road, Buxton, Derbyshire
This hotel was formerly known as the Buxton Hotel. It was designed by Henry Currey in 1868 in a French chateau style. It also has 20th century alterations and additions. Buxton was a Spa town from Roman times. The sheer size of this hotel is evidence of how popular Buxton was with Victorian tourists.
