The National Heritage List for England (NHLE) is the only official, up to date, register of all nationally protected historic buildings and sites in England – listed buildings, scheduled monuments, protected wrecks, registered parks and gardens, and battlefields.

The entrance facade of Chateau Impney, with garden ornaments in the foreground. It was built for John Corbett, who had become wealthy through the salt industry, in the style of a French Chateau for his French wife, and bears the date 1875. It subsequently became a hotel.
