Brigitte Bardot « Discovered » Buzios in the 1960s
Buzios is a picturesque beach town that was changed when French film star and sexpot Brigitte Bardot « discovered » the area with her Brazilian boyfriend.

Buzios is often called the St. Tropez of Brazil since it has many trendy boutiques, fine restaurants, and expensive villas. Most of the Buzios residents love what Brigitte Bardot did for their village, and they built this statue in her honor. Every male tourist who walks by has to stop and have his picture made sitting in Brigitte’s lap, and we even saw many of the old men kissing her on the cheek!
